Seeing By Ear – Feeling By Eye

February 6, 2010July 22, 2014Kai Bronner

Within the video documentation of the Audio Branding Congress 2009 a movie of a special kind is freely available online for those interested.
In his lecture “Seeing By Ear” Heiko Kunert, spokesman of the Association of Blind and Visual Impaired People Hamburg who went blind himself in the age of seven, gives insight in the acoustic world of blind people. Amongst other things attendees of the congress witnessed which outstanding hearing abilities human beings can develop, e.g. incredible fast listening to text to speech readers.
As the lecture was in absolute darkness, the video uses the motto “Seeing By Ear – Feeling By Eye”. Find out what this means: click here for the video.
