On March 13th 2010 the first workshop of the Audio Branding Academy took place in Hamburg. Under the title “Grundlagen der akustischen Markenführung” (Basics of Audio Branding) John Groves, Patrick Langeslag and Prof. Carl.Frank Westermann shared their comprehensive and profound knowledge about acoustic brand development and management. Very inspiring was the mixture of informative presentations, auditive practical exercises and group discussions of the highest level.
The next workshop is on May 8th 2010: Dr. Michael Haverkamp will give insights to synesthetic phenomenons, cross-sensory coupling principles and provide basic knowledge for developing multisensory design.

Seeing By Ear – Feeling By Eye
Within the video documentation of the Audio Branding Congress 2009 a movie of a special kind is freely available online for those interested.
In his lecture “Seeing By Ear” Heiko Kunert, spokesman of the Association of Blind and Visual Impaired People Hamburg who went blind himself in the age of seven, gives insight in the acoustic world of blind people. Amongst other things attendees of the congress witnessed which outstanding hearing abilities human beings can develop, e.g. incredible fast listening to text to speech readers.
