Audio Branding Congress and Award 2015

For the sixth time, the Audio Branding Academy invited international experts to discuss trends and developments within the industry. Previously in Hamburg, New York, Oxford and Moscow, the event was held in Berlin for the first time thanks to the wonderful support of the host, the Humboldt University Berlin. Experts from 19 countries and 5 continents were present at the Audio Branding Congress 2015 with its international Audio Branding Award.

At the Academy Day on May 27th, four half-day workshops with education opportunities for newcomers and professionals were offered. Topics included basics of audio branding, licensing and legal matters and testing music in advertising.

At the Award Day on May 28th, 6 Best Practice Cases, selected by an expert jury, were presented to the international audience. At the gala event on a boat cruise on the River Spree, the awards ceremony took place. Next to the three categories GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE awarded exclusively by the expert jury, there was an additional AUDIENCE award chosen by popular vote of the event participants.

A new add-on to the Congress format was the New Composer Talent showcase: an opportunity for selected talents in “anything with sound” to introduce themselves to the international peer community through an open-mike style performance.
